I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy. Alma 29:9

Hello Everybody!

So i realized i forgot to tell y'all about how the big sleepover went with all the missionaries a couple weeks ago. Well it turns out that sleeping on a real bed is waaaaay better than sleeping on a floor bed. Because not one of those guys was comfortable and woke up in pain. Also it was really cold that night and our floors are cold. It was funny cause I've been to these meetings before and i know how showering works. Nobody brings any toiletries besides their toothbrush and then they use whoevers stuff lives there. So what do Elder Young and I do? We hid absolutely everything and left a bar of soap in the shower. I thought it was pretty funny. But we did invite them to all of our food. Too bad we didn't have any. See we are completely fed by the members it seems like. So we eat a ton, but there's not a ton at the house. But anyways that went pretty great.

As for general conference it was amazing! I never thought growing up that i could actually be excited to watch a whole bunch of old people talk for 10 hours. But now I'm really sad that it's over. I had thought of many questions that i wanted answered and i went to conference prayerfully with them. Every single one was answered. General Conference never fails. I'm really sad that this was my last one on my mission. Hopefully I'll have the same excitement in the future as i have the last four.

Also i was disappointed because not one of our investigators came to one session of conference! And so many people had committed to come. I honestly wish people would just tell me that they're not coming instead of all promising something that they're not planning to keep. Oh well though. It's just sad because i know all of the questions that these people are searching for could've been answered. Happiness and peace were free and available and they all turned it down.

Well today I am getting a haircut! It's about time because the last time my hair was cut i was in Augusta. So as you can imagine my hair is ridiculously long. Don't worry. I'm taking before and after pictures so that everyone can know what I'm talking about. Also i should be sending my memory card home today... At least that's what i should do huh?

This week was a pretty good week for the car too. So in case y'all didn't know Gilbert is pretty much all dirt roads. Or at least that's where we seem to drive a lot. We cleaned the car last monday and you would think looking at it that it hasn't been cleaned in about a month. There are giant puddles in these dirt roads that take up the whole road that are easily 30 feet long. So i have to keep the car at a pretty good speed to get across. At least enough that we have mud splatter on the front windshield and roof. Also I only ran over about 30 frogs, they're all over the roads. Luckily i missed all the squirrels and rabbits this week, I did run over one possum. But it was already dead... unless it was doing that thing where it fakes being dead.

Well anyways all i can think about talking about is the weather. So i guess that's all i got too! But speaking of the weather we are now officially out of suit season. It's all shirt and tie till the end!

Well I love y'all!
Elder K. Olsen
